Requests for Service
All requests for service support, including ordering replacement parts, on-site service, technical support, factory repair, technical training, and service agreement information, should be directed to Hitachi Healthcare's National Service Department via our toll-free telephone number, 1-800-800-3106.
Hitachi Healthcare will exercise extreme diligence to service its instrumentation within twenty-four (24) hours (8 business hours) of our customer's request for service. Telephone response is provided to our customers within one hour of their initial request for service.
Hitachi Healthcare has one of the lowest labor rates in the industry.
We have 2 rates for service, our normal rate is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and our after hours and weekend rate. Hitachi Healthcare has a minimum charge of one-half hour.
Our travel rates are inclusive of expenses for services provided. We have 2 rates for service, our normal rate is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and our after hours and weekend rate. Hitachi Healthcare has a minimum charge of one (1) hour round-trip travel based from our nearest service center.
Travel charges for return service calls to the customer's site to replace parts previously diagnosed as being defective or because of intermittent problems, are not charged to the customer. The customer is charged for the initial service call and only for the additional parts and labor required to repair the instrumentation.
Customers may elect to send their instrument or peripheral device to our Wallingford, CT factory for repair. Every effort will be made to return the instrument back to our customers within five (5) working days. Certain systems such as the Models 210, 500, and 900 Series instruments are normally serviced in the factory. To expedite the repair of your unit a (RMA #) Return Material Authorization will be required.

Loaner consoles may be offered to our customers at a nominal fee while these units are in our factory for repair based on the nature and scheduling of the repair.
Repair Exchange Program
Hitachi Healthcare makes available factory remanufactured assemblies, printed circuit boards, and probes for our parts exchange program. The savings in this program are significant and a ninety (90) day warranty is provided. New replacement parts are also available with a one-year warranty.
Under this program, a replacement part is sent directly to our customer and the defective part (which must be repairable) is returned to us within fifteen (15) business days.
This program is also available in conjunction with certain items replaced during an on-site service call.
